Common troubleshooting for lives

Trouble joining, hearing or seeing Live sessions? Don’t worry — most issues have quick fixes. Just pick your issue below:

I can’t join any live streams

Here are the most common culprits:

  • You’re currently on a phone call (including WhatsApp or similar apps). You can’t join a Live while on a call.
  • Your internet connection might be weak or unstable.
  • You’re using a VPN, firewall, or special router setup — these can block live connections. Try turning them off while using Yubo.

I don’t have any sound in live streams

If you can’t hear anything, try these:

  • Make sure your phone isn’t on silent mode and your volume is turned up.
  • Check if you have sound in other apps — this helps you tell whether it’s Yubo or your device.
  • Try restarting your phone — that often does the trick.

I don’t see any Lives

Wherever you are, you should always see at least a few Lives in your feed. If not, it could be a temporary issue on our end. If you don’t see any alerts from us, try this:

  1. Check your Swipes. If Swipes aren’t working either, it’s likely a temporary glitch we’re already fixing.
  2. Enable location services. Yubo uses your geolocation to find nearby Lives.
  3. Let us know. If none of that helps, contact us in the app and we’ll troubleshoot it with you.
