How can I unlock the people who swiped right on me?
You've got two different ways to unlock the people who swiped right on you 💡
- You can share your unique Yubo link with your friends on Snapchat or through any other social media / messaging service (Instagram, What's App, Facebook, etc.). Each time one of your friends is opening your link, you'll be able to unlock one profile 🙌 It's one share for one unlocked profile.
- You can subscribe to our Power Pack - Power Pack subscribers can see and unlock all the profiles who swiped right on them
I'm not getting people from my area
You've got the ability to set up your swipe range preference from My Profile / Settings / Manage Swipe / Location. You can set up your swipes to display people from your country first (could be expanded to international if we lack users in your country), your country only, and all around the world.
If you've selected My Country First or My Country Only but you're still getting people from other countries or from far away in your country, make sure to check this 👇
- Are your swipe location preferences properly set up?
- Is the geolocation properly enabled? If not, make sure to enable it
- Have you played a bit with the slider allowing you to customize the Preferred Distance?
Note that if we don't have enough users meeting these criteria, we'll automatically expand the swipe scope to make sure you can still meet new friends 😊
I'm not getting people from the gender I specified
You also have the ability to specify whether you'd like to preferably meet male or female users (My Profile / Settings / Manage Swipe / Preferred Gender).
Whether you're selecting Female or Male as your preferred gender, we're still going to add users from the other gender in your feed: since Yubo has been designed to help you meet new friends, we believe that this won't impact your ability to create new friendships 🥳
I think my swipes are broken
If you think your swipes are not working correctly because you're not getting a lot of new friends, make sure to try out the following steps:
- Complete your profile as much as you can (natural & cool pictures, tags, bio, etc.)
- Get verified, this can definitely make your profile more trustworthy while solving certain account issues
- Try to extend the location scope of your swipe preferences (My Profile / Settings / Manage Swipe / Location)
Our team is always available to narrow down the possibilities with you 💪
You say I have no more profiles to swipe
This shouldn't be happening, but there are a couple of things you can check when this happen:
- Do you see available Livestreams in the Live tab? If you have no more profiles to swipe and you can't see any Livestreams, make sure to check out @YuboSupport for real-time updates on potential outages. In a case like this, you can be pretty sure this is coming from our end. We're probably already working on it, so we simply need you to be patient 🙏
- Make sure the geolocation is enabled for Yubo
- Make sure you've tried to extend the location scope of your swipe preferences (My Profile / Settings / Manage Swipe / Location)
Our team is always available to narrow down the possibilities with you 💪
I can't find my friend(s)
If you're trying to add someone you know IRL but cannot find her/him in the search, this could be because you guys have an age difference which is too big 💡
Since Yubo is designed for the Gen Z, we take your security very seriously and we've made sure that you can only interact with users close to you in terms of age. We know it's a bit different than what's happening on other social media, but we believe this is key to offer the most welcoming possible environment 😊
